Jesus Loves Me, This I Know… Now What?
Often we are told of God's love and how we should rest in, and be assured that there is nothing that can separate us. These are wonderful truths, so now what? When I see and am grasping and learning of the love of God, is that the end of the story or is there some response He desires?

Counting Your Blessings in 2025
As I prayed regarding what to write about for this article, through a song, the Lord led me to the topic Counting Your Blessings in 2025. Inspired by the song “Counting My Blessings,” by Seph Schlueter, I couldn’t shake the thought that I wanted to thank the Lord more this year. Recalling God’s goodness and giving thanks is something that is clear in scripture. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I love that scripture puts “in all circumstances.” This leaves us without excuse!

On Mission: Generation Redeemed
In 2020, just prior to the COVID pandemic, I was on a relationship panel for college students as part of our church's college ministry, RealTalk. After the panel, we broke into gender-specific groups to continue the conversation. And from that, Real G.R.A.C.E.(Girls Redeemed Adopted Chosen Eternally) was born. Formed of college-aged women, the ladies of Real G.R.A.C.E. have become my girls! We are sisters in Christ, and some have become spiritual nieces and daughters as we intimately live this Christian life together. My dear friend and sister in Christ, Nicole B., and I hold regular Bible studies and attend local church services with the ladies. We discuss how we are applying scripture to our daily lives and conforming our worldviews to that of Christ. Fun activities like pajama parties, game nights and even just eating together, help break down some of the protective walls most have built over the years.

On Mission: Servant, Not Savior
Carl approached one of my teammates and said that they needed to get coffee, because he was ready to follow Jesus. Two days before we packed up on a plane, two of my teammates got to go sit in a coffee shop for four hours with my sweet friend Carl and walk him through the salvation story, from creation all the way to Jesus’ second coming.

On Mission: Compassion, Not Comparison.
I looked at her face as she gazed into the distance while drawing water from the well. I wondered what she was dreaming about, contemplating, wondering?

Have a Seat at the Table This Easter
I have been eating so much spiritual fast food. I have been listening to my audio Bible while I get dressed in the morning or playing it while I fall asleep at night. Those are not bad things, but they had replaced my time of sitting down and being spiritually fed at the Lord’s huge, plentiful, open table. Scriptural Happy Meals from an app were not cutting it. Listening with good intentions for a couple of verses and then letting my mind wander off about what meetings I had and what was for dinner that night could hardly be considered Bible study.

Book Review: God’s Big Promises: The First Easter
As a mom, I think the greatest gift is the invitation to actually read the Easter story from the Bible itself.

Lent: These 40 Days
These 40 days of Lent are a time to remind us of the deep brokenness both in this world and in our own lives. It is a time designed for us to be mindful of the sin within, to be confessing before God the parts of us that keep us from the deep and transformative relationship with him that we were designed for. The idea behind giving something up is to look at our lives and see what has gotten in the way of that transformative relationship. There is a famous quote by St. Augustine that says, “The essence of sin is disordered love.” God ought to be the greatest love in our lives, far outweighing anything else. Sin comes into the picture when we allow anything else to experience greater love from us than God does. I think if we get really honest, we know that while we may claim with our mouths that he comes first, our lives often tell a different story.
